Hi,
First of all my partner and I would like to say a massive thank you to all our existing clients and all the new ones that have just joined us recently. Without your support we would not be able to offer the classes you all attend.
Ok, so we have a lot to get through so I am going to get straight to the point and if you have any comments, please feel free to respond at the end of the blog.
Class Timetable
Classes will continue to run at the times detailed on the website, the only slight amendment is that the outdoor circuits will run from John Leigh Park in Altrincham on Saturday's at 08:15 for the forseeable future.
New Classes
BootCamp Xpress will soon be introduced on Friday Mornings at 06:15am, this is a 30 minute class designed for you to drop in and go home as quickly as possible and setting you up for the morning. In order for this to be a success I will need at least 15 people to attend, your input and raising the awareness of this class would be extremely helpful.
The class will be in addition to the 10 class pass and cost for this class is likely to be £3:00
BootCamp and Boxercise classes for the family
These classes are aimed at Parents/Guardians and Children (8 and Over) ,and are designed to enable children and family members to exercise whilst having fun with some games thrown in for good measure
As a parent I think it is vitally important to spend time with my children and I think these classes could be a lot of fun.
The classes are still in the infancy stages and I am just researching what peoples reactions would be so if your interested or know of friends that might be interested, please let me know.
Please do not confuse this with a creche type facility, all parents/guardians will be required to participate.I personally cannot think of any other better way than spending a few hours with my kids.
Fitness Test Timetable and why we do them
All Fitness tests will be held on Thursdays every 5 weeks. I would recommend and encourage that everyone participate in these tests.
The tests are designed with your interests in mind, they are a benchmark as to where your fitness levels are and what improvements you have made over the 5 week period.
Dates are as follows
1st March 18:30 & 19:40
5th April 18:30 & 19:40
10th May 18:30 & 19:40

Good Wholesome Low Fat Recipes
A number of you have asked do I know of good low fat recipes and the answer is yes.
I have included a recipe below and please feel free to try it out and again I would welcome your comments, the recipe goes down particularly well with children and is a great way of them eating there vegetables so please give it a try.
Spiced Lentil and Vegetable Soup (Serves 1, Increase ingredients for more people)
1tsp Vegetable or Olive Oil (Go Olive preferably)
1tsp Mild Curry Paste ( I use Pataks)
1 clove of garlic (Not the bulb) crushed and finely chopped
350ml (12fl oz ) vegetable stock ( I use Swiss Marigold, can buy from Tesco)
1 medium onion (Sliced)
30g (1 1/4oz) dried red lentils
1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
1 small parsnip, peeled and finely chopped
1 small potato, washed and chopped
1 medium stalk celery ( used potato peeler to take the outer layer of celery off) chopped
1tsp tomato puree
Heat oil in the pan, add curry paste and garlic and mix with spoon
Add boiling stock with tomato puree to the pan and stir.
Add all vegetables to the pan, stir and once it comes to the boil turn right down to simmer for 40-50 mins with lid on
Remove lid and puree the contents of the pan with an electric blender, stir and serve with crusty wholemeal bread
*Tip
By blending only half the contents of the quantity you will get a nice thick soup but it will also be chunky as well.
Nutritional Information is based upon the soup only
220 Calories 6.8g fat. Sat fat is only 0.1g. Salt is 0.8g
